What is the study of ecology and why is it so important? The study of ecology is basically studies that are being done on the earth’s environmental systems. It is the study of the natural order of things and how natural events affect society. It is also the study of how man-made products affect the world and the environmental system. This Level 6 Diploma In Ecology by UK Public College will explore the principles and practices of ecology in conservation, natural resource management, forestry, agriculture and fisheries, as well as the role human interactions play in today’s changing world. This course will also familiarize participants with the methods of studying the interactions that occur between living beings and their environments.

This course is designed to introduce participants to the four levels of biological organization which are, organismal, population, community, and ecosystem. It will teach students the aspects of biogeography, such as the geographic distribution of living things and the abiotic factors that affect their distribution. Focus will be placed on the environmental disturbances that affect the structure and dynamics of the ecosystem. Participants will also learn about the various characteristics and the effects of industrialization, destructive harvesting and over-fishing has on them.

Students will be awarded the Level 6 Diploma In Ecology.  The Certificate is Internationally Recognised and will open unlimited opportunities to the learners.

Requirements

• Learners should be 16 or over to undertake the qualification.
